Commodore’s Ball a blast for sailors
WHITSUNDAY sailors gathered on Saturday night, celebrating another successful year at the Whitsunday Sailing Club.
Rear offshore commodore Kevin Fogarty said the event had been a jovial experience.
“We were thinking we might get 60 or 70 people, but we ended up with 90,” he said. “It was great.” Mr Fogarty said it had been a busy time on the water this year as well.
“The beach guys had a good year,” he said.
“They developed a new laser division, which has become very popular.”
The rear offshore commodore said the club was always willing to take on new members, whether they wanted to be part of a crew or have their own boat. Contact the club for more information.
