Credit to school

Whitsunday Times - - WHIT SUNDAY VIEWS -

TODAY (December 9) my husband and I and our three friends from Ottawa, Canada, took an outer reef cruise with Cruise Whitsundays. We admit our initial thoughts at the sight of a bus-load of school children joining our day cruise were not exactly thrilling. But (Proserpine State School principal Robert Templeton), the team of staff and parents and your wonderful Year 6 students are to be congratulated.

Firstly we admire the adults, staff and parents alike for venturing bravely and confidently on a field trip such as this. Secondly, we would like to congratulate all your Year 6 students who conducted themselves in an excellent manner. They were well behaved, well mannered, happy, fun, entertaining. They each made the most of the wonderful day and its opportunities. They were active, they laughed, they engaged maturely with the crew and other tourists. They are a credit to their school, their parents, their teachers, their peers, themselves. We were also impressed with their fundraising efforts to fund their day’s activities.

We wish you all a merry Christmas, a safe and happy holiday and we wish your Year 6-ers a fabulous life and a wonderful adventure at high school.
