Keep it clean

Whitsunday Times - - WHITSUNDAY VIEWS -

IS THE Whitsunday Ratepayers’ Association (WRA) really serious that six or seven men sitting around a table is going to decide and then dictate to us who we should or shouldn’t vote for in the upcoming council elections?

I am appalled and disgusted at the way groups and individuals stabbed good candidates in the back at the last election and, unfortunately, it seems we are about to experience the same again.

Instead of trying to destroy candidates who have put up their hands to be elected as councillors because they feel they can do some good for the community, why don’t those people who have so much hate and anger and are intent on disrupting the election process, put themselves up for election, or are they afraid the only vote they may get will be their own

Let’s try and keep this a clean campaign and let the council and mayoral candidates present their case to the community without outside interference. Chris Day Cannonvale
