8 Ball rolls back into town

Whitsunday Times - - CHILL -

A FAMILIAR face is returning to the Whitsunday Sailing Club this Friday in the form of 8 Ball Aitken.

On the last leg of his Tour in A Million, 8 Ball is sure to be belting out his best tunes before heading home to Nashville.

Although an Airlie Beach regular, the muso has added another accolade to his already bulging swag, having been named as a finalist for the 2016 Golden Guitar for his stellar song I’m Going To Jail.

Adding to this ever-growing awards list is his recent reign on the music charts, with the track reaching number one for country and number two for blues.

He’s moved across media platforms as well, with songs featuring in TV shows Breaking Amish, Parking Wars and Justified.

Fresh from the Tamworth Country Music Festival, 8 Ball blew the crowds away, playing 20 sold-out shows and even taking to the stage with country music legend Troy CassarDaly for a surprise performance. Don’t be fooled by his full-on schedule however; 8 Ball is bringing his A-game to Airlie Beach with his outthere blend of country, blues and something else entirely Aitken.

Keep an eye out for his next offering, 8 Ball Aitken, set to be released on February 26.

HAVE A BALL: 8 Ball Aitkin is set to fire up the Whitsunday Sailing Club on Friday night.
