No divisions

Whitsunday Times - - WHITSUNDAY VIEWS -

I’VE been to two Meet the Candidates Meetings for the local elections.

At each of those meetings they all say they want a cohesive council.

In the Bowen media a few weeks ago one candidate stated and I quote “Whitney and the three stooges from the south”.

If it wasn’t so serious it would be funny.

I think it is impossible to have a united council as it stands.

The only way to solve the “them and us” is to eliminate divisions, similar to the Mackay Regional Council.

This would make all councillors responsible for the whole region not just their own little patch. Alan Dufty Proserpine
