State ti­tle bid for Baylee

Projects afoot at pony club

PONY CLUB: The Pony Club As­so­ci­a­tion of Queens­land State Showjump­ing and Eq­ui­tation Ti­tles will be held in Gat­ton these school hol­i­days, with lo­cal star Baylee Evans set to test her­self once again.

The Proser­pine Hack and Pony Club rider has a swag of ti­tles to her name al­ready, hav­ing been awarded State Cham­pion twice in two dif­fer­ent eques­trian dis­ci­plines.

She will now take on both the showjump­ing and eq­ui­tation in Gat­ton.

Baylee will be as­sisted by her younger sis­ter Reigan who will act as her strap­per.

The tal­ented rider is com­ing of a string of suc­cess in the run up to Gat­ton, claim­ing run­ner up at the West Toowoomba Pony Club and her pony earn­ing Cham­pion Small Pony Hack at the War­wick Agri­cul­tural Show.

In other news from the PHPC, Cathy Bran­ni­gan and Chloe Coutts have had a suc­cess­ful run in the West­ern Ring this year.

Mem­bers have en­joyed four ral­lies so far this year.

The club is set to wel­come Ge­off Lyall on May 7 and 8, teach­ing riders how to im­prove their dres­sage marks, how to get started in horse rid­ing and how to start a young horse off.

This week the club be­gins work with Com­mu­nity So­lu­tions on a num­ber of pro- jects. These in­clude plant­ing trees, adding spec­ta­tor seats, sta­bles and con­nect­ing wa­ter to the camp­ing area.
