State title bid for Baylee
Projects afoot at pony club
PONY CLUB: The Pony Club Association of Queensland State Showjumping and Equitation Titles will be held in Gatton these school holidays, with local star Baylee Evans set to test herself once again.
The Proserpine Hack and Pony Club rider has a swag of titles to her name already, having been awarded State Champion twice in two different equestrian disciplines.
She will now take on both the showjumping and equitation in Gatton.
Baylee will be assisted by her younger sister Reigan who will act as her strapper.
The talented rider is coming of a string of success in the run up to Gatton, claiming runner up at the West Toowoomba Pony Club and her pony earning Champion Small Pony Hack at the Warwick Agricultural Show.
In other news from the PHPC, Cathy Brannigan and Chloe Coutts have had a successful run in the Western Ring this year.
Members have enjoyed four rallies so far this year.
The club is set to welcome Geoff Lyall on May 7 and 8, teaching riders how to improve their dressage marks, how to get started in horse riding and how to start a young horse off.
This week the club begins work with Community Solutions on a number of pro- jects. These include planting trees, adding spectator seats, stables and connecting water to the camping area.
Anyone interested in joining the club should contact Helle on 0488 994 126 or Kasey on 0400 376 443.
