Gary grabs A-grade

WHIT­SUN­DAY GOLF: Twenty-two Whit­sun­day golfers con­tested the Air­lie Panel and Paint Monthly Medal on Sun­day.

The A-grade crown went to Gary God­dard (net 68) ahead of run­ner-up Mick Ca­ton (net 74). Ross Richards scooped the best gross score, while Benn Ryan claimed the long­est drive.

Rod Wecker had near­est the pins on the sec­ond.

B-grade had Mal Carter (net 73) tak­ing top hon­ours on count­back from Ritchie Atkins, who also claimed near­est the pins.

Mark McDougall carded the best gross score, with Ian Giles hit­ting the long­est drive.

In the ladies, Robyn Mills (net 74) was the win­ner, beat­ing Pam Kercher (net 76) as run­ner-up.

Ti­ina Rand­mae pro­duced the best gross score.

The 1-39 hand­i­cap had Penny Wardroper with the long­est drive, while the 40+ hand­i­cap went to Robyn Mills.

No ladies recorded a near­est the pins.

An in-form Ian Giles claimed the WFX En­cour­age­ment Award with two great fair­way shots.

Mal Carter claimed the Guz­zlers Cup.
