They will be uploading their best photos to the popular photo sharing social media site Instagram as they go.
On Friday they took in the best the Whitsundays has to offer and ultimate candy for the optic nerve at Whitehaven Beach and their images are nothing short of specular.
Jarrod said the experience at Whitehaven was “super amazing”.
“We flew over via seaplane and just spent a few hours frolicking around,” he said.
“It’s pretty amazing. The colour of the water is just amazing.
“We were all freaking out. Not even silently freaking out. Audibly freaking out. I am pretty sure Melissa shed a tear, it is just that beautiful.”
The group is made up of photographers, who use proper camera equipment before using their smart phones to post to social media.
Kate Duffy, from Tourism and Events Queensland, said the goal of the road trip was to show the destinations in a slightly different light, to offer something unique.
“For tourism, to be able to actually put people in the experience is really important.
“When we work with Instagrammers it’s about finding people that can bring a destination to life an highlight the experiences the traveller can have in that destination.”
