Our windy weather challenges
Thirty-one players turned out last Sunday for a WGC stroke event after several fine breezy days ensured the course would be comfortably playable after attentive nurturing from the ground staff.
Conditions became pretty blustery during the morning, with rain threatening the later players who still managed to come home dry.

Sunday the 24th saw 19 players attack the back nine, a good turnout for the Anzac long weekend even with a lot of regulars away, The winner was Neil Hanson with 48/38 from Peter McApline 50/41 third place went to Nick Appizzese 52/43, nearest the pins went to Bruce Upchurch on 13 and Chris Henderson on 16. Chris also won least number of putts with 12.
Nick Applizzese also won the snake putting competition and the bradman was Bob Slater the lucky net score was won by Bruce Upchurch. Next Sunday, May 1, will be the monthly mug on the back nine.
