Thirty-one play­ers turned out last Sun­day for a WGC stroke event af­ter sev­eral fine breezy days en­sured the course would be com­fort­ably playable af­ter at­ten­tive nur­tur­ing from the ground staff.

Con­di­tions be­came pretty blus­tery dur­ing the morn­ing, with rain threat­en­ing the later play­ers who still man­aged to come home dry.

Sun­day the 24th saw 19 play­ers at­tack the back nine, a good turnout for the An­zac long week­end even with a lot of reg­u­lars away, The win­ner was Neil Han­son with 48/38 from Peter McA­pline 50/41 third place went to Nick Ap­pizzese 52/43, near­est the pins went to Bruce Upchurch on 13 and Chris Hen­der­son on 16. Chris also won least num­ber of putts with 12.

Nick Ap­plizzese also won the snake putting com­pe­ti­tion and the brad­man was Bob Slater the lucky net score was won by Bruce Upchurch. Next Sun­day, May 1, will be the monthly mug on the back nine.
