MBW take four firsts for snags

MASTER Butch­ers Whit­sun­day has scooped the pool in the North Queens­land divi­sion of the Sausage Kings awards.

For the first time Don Cameron and Karen Rix of MWB will be tak­ing four sausage prod­ucts to the Ekka in Bris­bane later this year.

Be­tween MWB’s two shops they won a King Award for their lamb, beef, chicken and pork sausages.

Also scor­ing a sil­ver and bronze award for their ham­burg­ers and a bronze and sliver for their chicken sausages and bronze award for their lamb sausage.

Butcher be­hind the prod­uct Don Cameron said the two shops did pretty well ev­ery year, but it was the first time he had won first prize for his beef and pork sausages.

“It is a re­ally good one to win. They are your bread and but­ter sausage,” he said.

“Peo­ple of the Whit­sun­days are proud to see us win­ning com­pe­ti­tions (by) hav­ing a good se­lec­tion of qual­ity prod­ucts.

“I en­joy mak­ing good prod­ucts”.
