Warm someone’s life this winter in appeal
Donate pre-loved clothing to those in need
WE all have clothes sitting in our cupboards that haven’t seen the light of day for quite some time.
Instead of throwing the neglected items away, Ray White Whitsunday is encouraging the public to donate unused clothing and shoes to those in need through their new Winter Appeal. Owner of Ray White Whitsunday, Mark Beale, said with cold weather creeping in, it was a chance to make a difference in someone’s life.
“Everybody has a bit of a clean up every now and then and we thought it would be a great opportunity to give (clothes) to families or single parents who could do with the extra blankets and clothes,” he said. “We see it through our job that there’s a lot of people in rentals that are really struggling to pay their rent and things.”
Ray White Whitsunday started the Winter Appeal this year and staff have already jumped on board and donated some of their own unused items.
The donations will be collected by Whitsunday Crisis and Counselling who will then distribute the items to those in need.
Packaged food and drinks are also encouraged as donations.
Anyone can make a contribution by dropping any donations to the Ray White Whitsunday Office at Reef Plaza before the middle of July.
