Division 1 – Airlie Beach – Cr Jan Clifford
$850,000 to deliver Stage 2 of the Airlie Foreshore Revitalisation, including sound shell, toilet block, shelters and picnic area.
$500,000 roof replacement of the Whitsunday PCYC.
$306,000 for footpaths on Jubilee Pocket Road (the missing link) and Shute Harbour Road to Shingley Dr intersection.
$250,000 towards the Whitsunday Sportpark Precinct Redevelopment Project.
$79,000 for a water main renewal on Bay Tce, Shute Harbour.
$32,000 for the installation of solar lighting along the Bicentennial Walkway and for additional exercise equipment to be installed at Whisper Bay.
Division 2 – Cannonvale – Cr Ron Petterson
$763,245 for the Cutuli Rd, Riordanvale construction project.
$325,000 for the reconstruction of Beach Rd.
$130,000 for the purchase of land for the Cannonvalley Rural Fire Brigade.
$205,000 for upgrades to structures at Cannonvale Beach (includes new barbecue shelter and connection between green areas over existing drain) and re-sanding of the beach.
$75,000 for a footpath on Shute Harbour Rd from Manooka Dr to Picaninni Close.
$40,000 for a flood camera to be installed at Crofton Creek.
$40,000 for playground equipment at Logan’s Adventure Playground.
Division 3 – Proserpine – Cr John Collins
$2.8 million for Proserpine Sewerage Treatment plant upgrade.
$627,362 Main St drainage reconstruction.
$600,000 for Proserpine Water Park.
$558,000 for a water main replacement at Camm Rd, Mt Julian and Ruge St and Davey Ave, Proserpine.
$250,000 to deliver the Proserpine Recycled Water Project.
$200,000 for the construction of footpaths on Faust St and the beach park area at Conway Beach.
“We’re hoping to extend the Faust St footpath out towards the Junior Sporting Complex, which is something I’ve been aiming towards for the last few years,” Cr Collins said.
Division 4 – Proserpine-Collinsville – Cr Peter Ramage
$2.5 million for completing the upgrade of Gregory River Bridge on Dingo Beach Rd.
$1.14 million for the combined Andromache Rd bridge works – Proserpine, Mount Wyatt Road bridge works – Collinsville and reconstruction of Strathmore Rd – Collinsville.
$254,000 for upgrades to the Collinsville Showgrounds precinct.
$212,550 for stage 3 of the CCTV implementation and intruder alarms at the Whitsunday Coast Airport.
$124,500 for a water main replacement at Pelican Rd, Collinsville.
A combined $113,000 for Kelsey Creek Rd and Kelsey Creek Floodway works.
Division 5 – Bowen – Cr Dave Clark
$277,000 for a water pipeline renewal in West St, Bowen.
$200,000 for the widening of Dalrymple St.
$100,000 for the Bowen Sewerage Treatment Plant Wastewater Recycling Facility - Design and Land Acquisition.
$475,000 for Bowen Sewerage Treatment Plant interim nutrient removal.
$130,000 for Bowen swimming pool upgrades.
$95,000 for shade covers to various play equipment in Bowen as part of a staged plan.
$50,000 for the design of Stage 2 of the Bowen Front Beach Revitalisation.
Cr Clark said a design for a new treatment plant would, hopefully, happen some time in 2017/18.
Division 6 – Bowen surrounds – Cr Mike Brunker
$815,000 for a new lined cell at the Bowen Landfill.
A combined $785,000 for constructing footpaths along Argyle Park Rd and Golf Links Rd.
$400,000 for Queens Beach State School parking.
$300,000 for refurbishment of public toilet blocks in Bowen.
$50,000 for Col Leather Sporting Complex (drainage and car park).
A portion of the $1.45 million roads reseal program will be spent on 14 roads in Division 6.
$40,000 for sealing 1km of Tondara Rd.
“We’re into walking and cycling so we’re pleased to be able to fix the foothpaths as well,” Cr Brunker said.
