How should we market the Whitsundays?
Tourism Whitsundays have been given $450,000 to bring visitors to the region
Dianne Gilbert, Cannonvale:
Television advertising in major cities rather than regional areas.
Blake Hackett, Cannonvale:
I think it's being sold well at the moment. Most of our visitors come here because of the thriving tourism industry.
Clayton Pound, Cannonvale:
We should promote the reef because it's a big drawcard and things like the islands, fishing and beaches.
Elaine Fieldman, Cannonvale:
The boardwalk and the foreshore are beautiful. The walks we should be promoting in particular.
Darren Robertson, Cannonvale: We should be targeting the backpacker market. Joanne Moynihan, Cannonvale:
We should target people close to the area, such as Sarina, Rockhampton and Townsville.
Roz Jennings, Mandalay:
We should look at getting more direct flights into the region from places like Sydney and Melbourne.
