Community heroes

Whitsunday Times - - WHITSUNDAY VIEWS -

LAST Wednesday my daughter and I were involved in a three-car accident on Faust street, Proserpine.

Within minutes the police were there checking the situation and keeping others safe.

The firies arrived moments later as well as the ambos.

These people were reassuring and caring in a very distressing situation.

We were transported to Prossie Hospital where we were given into the care of Dr Grimes and the nursing staff.

These professionals took care of us and reassured us and eased our pain.

It was after midnight when we were given the all clear to go home. Too late for a taxi and with our only car out of action we were preparing to walk home.

That’s when nurse Tina went above and beyond the call of duty and took us home, even though I'm sure she was supposed to be off duty.

If there was an upside of the accident it was experiencing true human kindness.

You are all heros in our eyes and we are forever grateful for your efforts.

Byrne Family

Proserpine
