She explained that to create her artworks, she liked to take photos of a subject and then add other subject matter to create a story.
“I think, as artists, we have an opportunity to get a message out through our paintings,” she said.
“I’m focusing on the environment with a subtle mes- sage of protecting it.
Jacquie has been a member of Art Whitsunday for the past four years and looks forward to displaying her new artworks in the Art Whitsunday annual exhibition from August 5-7 at the Whitsunday Arts and Cultural Centre (WACC).
