Jason’s gone – locals respond

Whitsunday Times - - NEWS -

The town desperately needs attractions like yours Jas. Even an old duck like me had an absolute ball on your Aqua Park. Fingers crossed for you — Joanne Cutler

Just plain embarassing, the way this was handled. For a tourist destination we sure know at times how to steer people away!!!! — Pat Morrissey

So sad that Jason has to leave town. I cannot begin to understand the reasons why it hasn’t been approved. I think it is one of the best activities to have in Airlie Beach for kids & adults. Shame the powers that be don’t think so. I would love to see Jason re-open this wonderful Aqua Park. In the meantime I wish Jason all the best in his new location. — Trenella Mcinerney-Passmore

One of the worst decisions the council have made, what were they thinking. Fun police at their best! — Fiona Hutton-Browne

I read your letter to the editor Jason Ford and I almost had a tear in my eye.... this town moves at a snail’s pace and it is so unfortunate that you were shafted the way you were. This town needs more and soon as it is falling behind. — Amy Lola Keyte

Just shows if you have the cash the local council is easily influenced. Great precedent to set. — Michael O’Toole

PAST: The community rallied to save the aqua park.
