Whitsunday Times - - NEWS -

FIVE passengers were forced to board another plane for Airlie Beach after their original aircraft was damaged on Hardy Reef. About 5pm Monday, an Air Whitsunday Seaplanes plane “rubbed against the reef” causing damage to its floats while it was preparing to take off. Donna Lloyd was one of the five passengers on board the Air Whitsundays Sea plane and said it could have been a lot worse. “We were all pretty calm but were a bit concerned we would have to stay on the boat for a while because it was getting dark and we were struggling to get anyone to hear us on the radio,” she said.
