Pams pounce on Prossie course

GOLF: While clouds and rain threat­ened all morn­ing, Whit­sun­day Golf Club golfers played a Tiger Woods Stable­ford last Sunday.

The Pam/Pam com­bi­na­tion was vic­to­ri­ous on the day as they dom­i­nated the field to win by three points.

Winners Pam Casey and Pam Kercher fin­ished the day on 63 points.

Next in line were run­ners-up Dean Kercher and Danny York on 60 points, then Gary God­dard and Mark McDougall on 57 points in third and Bren­don Me­harry and Paul Ni­col on 51 points in fourth.

The long­est drives of the com­pe­ti­tion went to Dean Kercher in the men’s A and Gary God­dard in the men’s B.

For the ladies, Anna Win­ter­bourn was too good in the 1-39 h’cap and Pam Kercher claimed the long­est drive in the 40+ h’cap.

Near­est the pins were again in short sup­ply.

The all-ins went to Ron Jamieson for the 2nd shot on the 9th and Anna Win­ter­bourn for the 1st shot on the 13th.

In the men’s A-grade Ron Jamieson struck again on the 2nd shot on the 2nd.

In the men’s B-grade Mark McDougall claimed it on his 1st shot on the 16th.

Joanne Moyni­han took the ladies hon­ours with her 2nd shot on the 16th.

Next Sunday the Whit­sun­day Golf Club will play a sin­gle stroke com­pe­ti­tion.
