Values underline college approach
THE Year 12 and Kindergarten cohorts have become a part of St Catherine’s Catholic College for 2017.
While more construction is expected for the next two years to cater for student growth, St Catherine’s is proud to offer education for all year groups.
The college consists of three campuses – Mercy Campus (Prep–Year 3), Loyola Campus (Years 4–6 and Kindergarten) and Manresa Campus (Years 7–12) – which has dedicated precincts for each stage of schooling and students are provided with an education that focuses on more than academic results.
St Catherine’s Catholic College primary principal Sharyn Bell said the school’s education system was based on developing a broad range of attributes.
“Students are nurtured to develop spiritually, socially, emotionally and physically in a community that embraces Catholic values,” she said.
“We provide a balanced academic curriculum that integrates faith, culture and life.”
The new kindergarten is a contemporary, innovative environment for children aged from three to five years old.
New kindergarten classroom facilities include bright and spacious open learning areas, leading-edge science and technology areas and an inquiry-based education program to suit each individual student.
St Catherine’s Kindergarten opens at 7am and closes at 6pm, with the program operating between 8.30am and 2.30pm and wrap-around care before and after kindergarten.
