McGrath through to next round

BOWLS: Proser­pine Bowls Club hosted a game of Cham­pi­onship Sin­gles last Wed­nes­day as Joan McGrath played He­len Muller.

McGrath won the game 25–20 to progress to the next round.

Ladies are re­minded to check the noticeboard for up­com­ing com­pe­ti­tions and Sy­mons Shield teams. At this stage, the Ladies’ Triples Car­ni­val is un­cer­tain un­til af­ter Cy­clone Deb­bie. Wendy will keep play­ers posted.

There was no so­cial play or com­pe­ti­tion play on the week­end due to the weather.

Games con­troller, Barry, has called the fol­low­ing games for Satur­day, April 1.

Satur­day 9.30am, Cham­pi­onship Sin­gles will see Wayne Han­d­ley vs Scott Hamil­ton marker Sandy Daf­fara, Dan Robin­son vs Barry Saroglia marker Vince Olsen, John Bye vs Barry Zill­mann marker Ross Reville and Luchie Gardel vs Peter Law­ton marker Phil Brown.

The club would like to see the Gra­ham Kin­n­ear vs Jim Quod game to be played by April 8 at the lat­est.

Satur­day 1pm, Cham­pi­onship Pairs will see Gavin Milne and Shane Spann vs Vince Olsen and Sandy Daf­fara, Dan Robin­son and Shane May vs Neil Robin­son and Dale Haack (to be played at 2.30pm), John Bye and Wayne Han­d­ley vs Luchie Gardel and Barry Saroglia and Jim Quod and Kevin Thoro­good vs Nathan Dodds and Scott Hamil­ton (win­ners of this match might be able to play Peter Law­ton and Phil Brown on Sun­day).

The club wishes the North­ern Dis­trict Chal­lenge play­ers luck this week­end.
