Proserpine bowlers set for a return to the green
BOWLS: Proserpine Bowls Club has some good news – the Cooke Green is ready to be played on.
The club would like to thank all the people who helped with cleaning up and repairing things over the last two weeks.
With power now back on at the club, games are set to be played for the first time since Cyclone Debbie this weekend.
“It was very much appreciated. So with power back on and a playable green we hope to see you all out on the weekend,” Proserpine Bowls Club’s Wayne Handley said.
The ladies bowls on Wednesday have been cancelled as the green continues to repair following the cyclone.
There will be a monthly club meeting on April 18 at 1pm.
There was no social play or competition play on the weekend due to the weather.
Due to the Easter break, no one will be forfeited if they cannot play this weekend’s games.
The green will be ready by 9.30am on Saturday.
Players should let Huggie know if they can or can’t play.
