Chance for businesses to remain informed
EVERY business will have the opportunity to learn everything they need to know post Cyclone Debbie.
The Proserpine Entertainment Centre will host a Cyclone Recovery Industry Forum today, with Whitsunday and Proserpine Chambers of Commerce jointly co-ordinating the event with Whitsunday Regional Council.
Businesses will have access to complete information on matters such as what grants are available under Category C Cyclone Recovery Relief funding.
Speakers will include representatives from Bendigo, Commonwealth, Nab, ANZ and Westpac bank, Whitsunday Regional Council, QRAA, Telstra, Police, Australian Tax Office, Fair Work Ombudsman, Eclipse Finance, Workplace Health and Safety Queensland and Whitsunday Counselling and Support.
All businesses are welcome to attend the event regardless of Chamber membership.
Proserpine Chamber of Commerce Secretary Karen Vloedmans encouraged as many people to come.
“We have worked together to bring quality speakers to the event so that local business owners can be well informed of what support is available to them and provide the opportunity to meet face to face with those representatives,” she said.
Whitsunday Coast Chamber of Commerce president Allan Milostic said it was important to promote unity.
