Courts come alive with the sound of tennis balls

TENNIS: Tennis Whit­sun­day has bounced back with play­ers hit­ting the court this week.

Satur­day morn­ing early bird ladies were the first to hit the courts with Pam Pearce and Denise Forbes en­joy­ing a fan­tas­tic game of sin­gles.

Later in the day, Satur­day af­ter­noon so­cial tennis saw Ch­eryl and John West, Keith Miles and Kay Hoar in an ac­tion packed af­ter­noon.

The club would like to say good­bye to Kay Hoar as her and her hus­band are mov­ing south to Her­vey Bay.

“A big thank you and best wishes from all at Tennis Whit­sun­day,” Kirk­man said.

Coach­ing hit off on Tues­day for term three.

Early evening tennis was a blast with ev­ery­one a little bit on the “rusty side”, how­ever it didn’t take long to get back in the habit. Coach­ing pupil of the week is Jenny South­ern for a les­son “well done”.

Fit, fun tennis, the up­beat car­dio work­out on a tennis court is set to start up again to­mor­row at 9am.

So­cial tennis is now back in full swing, and is avail­able Satur­day and Tues­day af­ter­noon, and Tues­day and Thurs­day night.
