Courts come alive with the sound of tennis balls
TENNIS: Tennis Whitsunday has bounced back with players hitting the court this week.
Saturday morning early bird ladies were the first to hit the courts with Pam Pearce and Denise Forbes enjoying a fantastic game of singles.
Later in the day, Saturday afternoon social tennis saw Cheryl and John West, Keith Miles and Kay Hoar in an action packed afternoon.
The club would like to say goodbye to Kay Hoar as her and her husband are moving south to Hervey Bay.
“A big thank you and best wishes from all at Tennis Whitsunday,” Kirkman said.
Coaching hit off on Tuesday for term three.
Early evening tennis was a blast with everyone a little bit on the “rusty side”, however it didn’t take long to get back in the habit. Coaching pupil of the week is Jenny Southern for a lesson “well done”.
Fit, fun tennis, the upbeat cardio workout on a tennis court is set to start up again tomorrow at 9am.
Social tennis is now back in full swing, and is available Saturday and Tuesday afternoon, and Tuesday and Thursday night.
Court hire and coaching is available seven days a week, contact 0418 866 808.
