Squash to re­sume again next month

SQUASH: Last Tues­day night fea­tured some top-notch ladies squash played in good spirit.

Team 1 took on Team 4 and some in­ter­est­ing con­tests un­folded.

The thrilling game be­tween Nicki Murray 3/39 and Belinda Faust 2/29 (pic­tured) was the one to watch, with the con­test go­ing down to the best of five games.

The rest of the games fea­tured Mar­ian Church­ward 3/27, who beat Di O’Don­nell 0/6, Alex Ogilvie-Knight 3/35 claimed vic­tory against Louise Cox 1/23 and Ta­nia Skaife 3/27 de­feated San­dra Wat­son 0/9.

Team 2 and Team 3 also went head to head, with some ex­cep­tional high qual­ity games tak­ing place be­tween the two sides.

Pauline Ogilive 3/27 de­feated Tiani Pauly 0/4, Jenny Mo­ranino 3/33 beat Leanne Hin­schen 1/23, Deb­bie Brown 3/32 won against Crys­tal Atkin­son 1/9 and Julie Mitchell 3/42 won a com­pet­i­tive con­test against Ida Arici 2/33 in five games.

Due to Anzac Day fall­ing on next Tues­day, April 25, no squash will take place next week.

Squash will recom­mence on May 2, with Team 2 to face off against Team 4 and Team 1 set to take on Team 3.
