Full ta­bles at bridge

BRIDGE: The Air­lie Beach Bridge Club is back up and run­ning with two full ta­bles on both Mon­day af­ter­noon and Thurs­day night with some very com­pet­i­tive hands.

The win­ners on Mon­day af­ter­noon were Dale Hell and Eric Bot­tle with 30 points and fol­lowed by ties on 22 points by the other three pairs which is quite rare.

Some of the high­lights were when 5D makes 11 and scores 400 but 3NT also makes 11 but scores 460 and then 4H makes 10 and scores 420 while 3NT also makes 10 but scores 430.

On Thurs­day night with two full ta­bles the win­ners were Gil­lian Blackie and Neil Cawthorn with 31 points closely fol­lowed by Dale Hell and Eric Bot­tle with 29 points.

The Queens­land Bridge As­so­ci­a­tion are hold­ing the Queens­land an­nual congress in Yep­poon this week­end from Fri­day un­til Mon­day and Dale Hell and Eric Bot­tle will be go­ing to rep­re­sent the Air­lie Beach Bridge Club. They are hop­ing to play well against the other clubs from Cairns to Bris­bane.

Games are held on Mon­day af­ter­noon at 12.30pm and Thurs­day night at 6.30pm at the Neigh­bour­hood Cen­tre and all play­ers are wel­come.
