Whitsunday Times - - SPORT -

“We just want to get people involved and enjoying rugby.”

The Raiders play the Mudcrabs at 3pm on Saturday in Bowen.

They train Tuesdays and Thursdays at Whitsunday Sportspark. AUSSIE RULES: The Under-17 Sea Eagle boys was the only game for the day at the Whitsunday Sportspark at the weekend.

The boys went up against Bakers Creek who were significantly undermanned.

In order to boost numbers four Under-14s Sea Eagles boys set up and played for them.

Also five U17s Sea Eagles players went over and played for the opposition.

Great sportsmanship was shown by the boys even before the visitors kicked the first goal of the match.

The Sea Eagles replied with three goals of their own and Jayden Clark finished with seven goals, Lachlan Draper with two.

The boys then started playing their normal footy with Honnie Bloomer giving his team mates plenty of options in the ruck.

Nick Di Prima had plenty of possession and kicked two goals. The back line was strong once again holding the visitors to less than five goals.

All players did extremely well to take a huge win, Sea Eagles 117 to Bakers Creek 30.
