The ju­niors played on Sun­day af­ter­noon, owing to the front nine holes only be­ing open.

The three hole com­pe­ti­tion was won by Lo­gan Burke with a gross 32.

The six hole gross win­ner was Finn Burke, 46, and run­ner-up was Daniel Spur­way on 56. Net win­ner was Zane Wil­liams with 18, and run­ner-up was Blake Love­lock, 32.

Liam Eames took out the nine hole gross, 67, from Jack Val­madre 76. Net win­ner was Rian Mitchell with 33 from Harper Hen­der­son-Feld­man on 44. BOWLS: It’s been a big week for the Proser­pine Bowls Club, with a men’s team com­pet­ing in the men’s dis­trict side last week, fin­ish­ing sixth in Queens­land over­all.

On Wed­nes­day af­ter­noon 15 ladies played a round of so­cial games.

Two games were played, with Lois Read’s team de­feat­ing Heather Pat­ullo’s 24–5 in a fours game and Wendy Pomeroy and John Lah­ney de­feat­ing Peter Lawton and Fran Porter 36–7 in a mixed pairs game.

The ladies’ com­pe­ti­tion on Wed­nes­day, May 10, is set to have Wendy Pomeroy play Carly Al­bert­son (marker Bar­bara Dam­mash) and Joan McGrath play­ing Heather Brown (marker Dot Hin­schen) in Ch/Ch sin­gles.

Ten bowlers played Sun­day af­ter­noon so­cial bowls, with the af­ter­noon en­joyed by all those play­ing.

The Proser­pine Bowls Club Mixed Car­ni­val will be held on Satur­day, May 13, with 56-plus play­ers com­pet­ing.
