Volunteers ensure a successful May Day Carnival
BOWLS: The Metropole Hotel May Day Carnival was played at the weekend, with 14 teams battling it out for victory.
Great sportsmanship and a perfect running green defined the carnival.
The Marian team, led by Barry Jackson, brought home the gold, with a strong finish to deliver the win.

Jimmy Janz’s team, consisting of a solid mix of Proserpine and Collinsville players, came in third following a strong effort by everyone involved in the competition.
Proserpine lady bowlers also took to the green last Wednesday at Proserpine Bowls Club for a game of social bowls and two high-quality games of Ch/Ch singles.
