Busy week as players bounce back
TENNIS: Tennis Whitsunday’s early evening Tuesday tennis started the week off with a fitness session.
Tuesday night social tennis took to the courts for an enthusiastic evening of mixed and men’s doubles.
Wednesday evening the Bronze and Silver squads played a fun game tennis.
There were lots of ins and outs followed by riotous rallies.
Kobi Fuller and Sony Burrell in the Bronze squad and Max and Robbie Vrind in the Silver squad kept the games rolling.
Thursday’s rain didn’t stop Tate Butler and Riley O’Grady from honing their footwork.
Friday morning brekky group did themselves proud with plenty of touch rallies and strong work from Emma Hinton and Holly Perrin.
On Saturday morning the Early Bird ladies played their weekly doubles.
Just Do It junior social tennis had a “hit around”.
This group is looking for more parents and children to join in for a hit and morning tea.
It was followed by Saturday social tennis.
Coaching pupil of the week was Josh Ekert for a sterling effort in his lesson on Friday, taking part in a superb lengthy rally.
