A costly hand
HELPING his girlfriend with a hill start has cost a 25-year-old Flametree man his driver’s licence for two years.
Aaron Graham Baker was already on a court suspended drivers licence when he got behind the wheel on April 21 around 4pm on Erromango Dr, Jubilee Pocket. Baker told the court he was in the passenger’s seat of a car with his girlfriend when she struggled to do a hill start so he swapped seats with her to help. Magistrate Ron Muirhead said “the bottom line is you shouldn’t have driven a motor vehicle”.
Baker was also fined $750.
