AUSSIE RULES: The Whitsunday Sea Eagles returned to form on Saturday in their home clash against the Bakers Creek Tigers at Whitsunday Sportspark.

Coming off the back of a loss against the same side last week in Mackay, the Sea Eagles’ determination delivered an overwhelming victory – kicking 16 goals in their 16.21.117 to 3.3.21 win.

The result takes the Sea Eagles to the top of the ladder.

Matthew Galonski kicked six goals while Jared Campbell put in a strong performance in the back line.

Brothers Ryan and Scott Lee were a force to be reckoned with on the wings.

Sea Eagles coach Luke Sommerville said he was proud to see the side bounce back. “I think our boys were more switched on this week and aggressive with the ball, maybe we were a little complacent last week,” he said.

“We are taking it one game at a time; it’s been a good start to the year, but we still have 11 games to go.”

Up against Bakers Creek, the girls truly turned things around leading all day and just pipped in the last 10 minutes of the day going down 5.6.36 to 3.4.22.

The U17s played Bakers Creek in a demolition winning 24.16.160 to 0.3.3.
