Comps running hot on Proserpine green
GOLF: Last Sunday members played the club foursomes championships for 2017.
Gross winners on the day were Mandy Patterson and Nathan Holmes with a score of 124.
Runners-up were Mel Patullo and Kevin Campbell on a count back with 128.
Nett winners were Lew and Vicki Tuck with 89.5, well clear of the runners-up Rehab Hull and John Roser, 105.5 on a count back.
Pin shots for the day were taken out by Kelvin Stephens (mens) and Trish McNeill (ladies) on two, Ron Jamieson on nine, Lew Tuck 13 and Rehab Hull 16.
Saturday’s men’s stableford competition was won by Ross Meade with 43 points, from Glenn McKerley on 42.
In third place was Peter Lewis, 40 points and fourth was Gavin Kerwand, also on 40 points.
The run down went to 34 points on a count back.
The pin shots went to Jake Nurse on hole number two, Michael Cragg on nine, Mel Patullo 13, and Kelvin Stephens on 16.
The ladies competition was won by Elina Kornis with 40 points, and Pauline Redpath was runner up with 35, on a countback from Marlene Gray.
In the run down were Di Dobbins and Meg Lyons, 34, and Paula McQuat 31.
The Thursday men’s competition was a par event, which was won by Lew Tuck with a fine +7 in the A Grade, beating John Roser into second with +3.
On Wednesday July 12 the ladies played for Tina Badenhorst’s Sponsored Day, Stableford.
Winner 0-25 was Marlene Gray with 34 points and runner-up was Lyn Muller.
Saturday July 22 is a stroke event for both men and ladies, Wednesday July 26 is the ladies 4BBB stableford and Thursday July 27 stableford.
Saturday July 29 will see a catch up of the April monthly medal.
