Tuck takes A-grade win from Wecker

Satur­day’s men’s stroke event was split into two grades be­cause of the num­ber of en­trants.

A to­tal of 55 golfers took to the course.

The A-grade win­ner was Lewis Tuck with nett 64, from run­ner-up Rod Wecker on 65.

The B-grade vic­tor was Levi Holmes with nett 62, and run­ner-up was Wilf Her­weg on 67.

Fifth place went to Gary Scot­ford 68 on a count­back from Peter Krause.

A group on 69 was Nathan Holmes, Andrew But­ler, Glenn McKer­ley, John Grosskreutz and Rob Stan­ley.

The run­down went to 72 nett.

The pin shots went to Paul Joice on two, Karl Wolzac, nine, Nathan Holmes 13 and Mick Bur­rows on 16.

The ladies event had Heather Lu­vis come out the win­ner with 72 nett, from Ti­ina Rand­mae, 73, on a count­back from Elina Kor­nis.

Three oth­ers in the run down were Lyn Muller, Noe­lene Spur­way and Pauline Red­path, all with 76.

Next Satur­day, the club will catch up on the April monthly medal, so rudely in­ter­rupted by a trop­i­cal storm called Deb­bie.
