ONE man’s reaction to getting caught drink driving last Thursday was to continue to drink himself into a stupor and get behind the wheel again.
The 39-year-old Cannonvale motorist was initially picked up by police at 7.30pm at Schnapper St, Cannonvale, with a reading of 0.088. Just over two hours later, at 9.50pm, the same driver was again caught by police at the Island Dr intersection on Shute Harbour Rd with a reading of 0.210.
The man’s licence has been suspended. Senior Sergeant Nathan Blain said there were a high number of drink drivers last week and there would be additional random breath tests.
