Hill wins in A-Grade and nearest the pin
GOLF: It was a nippy start to the morning which warmed to a gloriously unseasonally warm winter’s day on Proserpine golf course last Sunday when 24 Whitsunday golfers played a single stroke competition.
Golfing conditions were ideal and some very good scores came in on the day.
Gary Goddard won A-Grade and nearest the pin, Tiina Randmae had a personal best and both achieved scores well ahead of the rest of the field.
Donny Hope took out a best gross and two NTPs, and Kym Hill won A-Grade and an NTP.
One privately owned golf cart tackled a tree stump on the course, resulting in a fat lip for the passenger but no major injuries incurred. Men’s A Grade

Longest drive: Pam Casey and Vicki Tuck Nearest the pins Geoff Harrison wins on the second shot of the ninth hole and Donny Hope claims NTP on his first shot on the 13th hole.
In the men’s A-Grade NTP Ron Jamieson wins with the second shot on the second hole and Kym Hill wins with his first shot on hole 16.
Donny Hope takes out the men’s B-Grade with his second shot on the second hole and Gary Goddard wins with his first shot on hole 16.
Karen Rix takes the ladies’ win with her second shot on hole 16.
The Proserpine course will be closed the next two Sundays.
