A NEW South Wales man from Wyee had “no recollection” of shouting at police after a night of heavy drinking.
Matthew Jonathon Graham, 33, was first brought to police attention after re-entering an Airlie Beach Safe Night Precinct venue after being told to leave.
Prosecutor Bernhard Berger said police ordered Graham to “move on” but he failed to do so and yelled obscenities at the officers.
Graham was then taken to the watch house but did not co-operate when told to enter and leave the police vehicle.
Magistrate Simon Young told Graham his behaviour was “too prevalent” in Airlie Beach.
He was fined $1000.
