Records set at Cannons first club night for season
SWIMMING: Cannonvale Cannons Swim Club is off to a great start to the swim season. Thirty swimmers took part in the club’s first Club Night for the new swim season. President Tony Parkinson was delighted to see some new young swimmers and their families coming along to see what the club was about and to have a go at the 12-metre races. He was also surprised by the number of personal bests swimmers achieved. Jasmine Brodhurst (three years old), Skye Brodhurst, Dylan Powers, Oliver-James Crawford and Ray Cook. All swam very well in their first club night.
Mikhaila Flint was on fire. She PBd in all her events.
Her best PB was in her 100m IM which she swam in a time of 1.16.75.
Mikhaila broke two club records on Wednesday night.
Jy Parkinson swam a fantastic 100m backstroke in 1.13.59 and set a new club record with this swim.
Amber Benson and Blake Lovelock swam extremely well, swimming PBs in all their events.
Isaac Benson, Zavier Goswell, Mitchell Milostic and Evie Herlihy all swam three PBs.
Evie Herlihy swam a massive PB in her 100m butterfly, taking over 16.5 sec off her previous time.
Tiana Bell, Mae Carter-Attwood, Blake and Tegan Hanks, Isabelle Kratz and Mila Parkinson all swam very well, managing two PBs on Wednesday night.
