Records set at Can­nons first club night for sea­son

SWIM­MING: Can­non­vale Can­nons Swim Club is off to a great start to the swim sea­son. Thirty swim­mers took part in the club’s first Club Night for the new swim sea­son. Pres­i­dent Tony Parkin­son was de­lighted to see some new young swim­mers and their fam­i­lies com­ing along to see what the club was about and to have a go at the 12-me­tre races. He was also sur­prised by the num­ber of per­sonal bests swim­mers achieved. Jas­mine Brod­hurst (three years old), Skye Brod­hurst, Dy­lan Pow­ers, Oliver-James Craw­ford and Ray Cook. All swam very well in their first club night.

Mikhaila Flint was on fire. She PBd in all her events.

Her best PB was in her 100m IM which she swam in a time of 1.16.75.

Mikhaila broke two club records on Wed­nes­day night.

Jy Parkin­son swam a fan­tas­tic 100m back­stroke in 1.13.59 and set a new club record with this swim.

Am­ber Ben­son and Blake Love­lock swam ex­tremely well, swim­ming PBs in all their events.

Isaac Ben­son, Zavier Goswell, Mitchell Milostic and Evie Her­lihy all swam three PBs.

Evie Her­lihy swam a mas­sive PB in her 100m but­ter­fly, tak­ing over 16.5 sec off her pre­vi­ous time.

Tiana Bell, Mae Carter-Attwood, Blake and Te­gan Hanks, Is­abelle Kratz and Mila Parkin­son all swam very well, man­ag­ing two PBs on Wed­nes­day night.
