Golf handicaps tumble after outstanding scores
GOLF: Whitsunday Golfers played a single stroke competition on Sunday with some outstanding scores achieved by several who played well outside their handicaps.
Wilf Herweg, Pam Kercher and Linda Wardroper excelled and will be playing with suitably adjusted handicaps in the next WGC competition, the Stableford championships on September 24. While low in numbers, all the A-Grade players managed to score a win of some sort. NTPs were in short supply again with fast greens making it difficult to stay on once reached. WGC welcomed two guest players travelling around Australia, Lou and Sonja, with Sonja taking an NTP on the 16th.
