Waste of time

Whitsunday Times - - YOUR SAY -

WHAT a waste of time and our money are the current antics of our politicians.

If people have come here from another country, as so many have, lived here for many years, been naturalised and want to work for Australia, why should they not be allowed to?

I suppose it is one way to get rid of the opposition.

Do we have to ignore part of our life and pretend it did not happen?

Most of our hospitals and other medical services are staffed by people from other countries, are we going to get rid of them too?

Another thing is the money wasted on that survey.

There are many good things that money could have been spent on: donations to Salvation Army, Smith Family, Flying Doctor services, Teen Challenge and many others.

If the politicians concentrated on doing their job, which I presume is to run the country, instead of petty squabbles about nothing, we would all be better off.
