‘I did the wrong thing’

Whitsunday Times - - NEWS -

A BLOOMSBURY man told the court he wasn’t carrying his breathalyzer when he was caught drink driving on Midge Point Rd. Christopher Allen Van Muyen, 36, pleaded guilty to low range drink driving at 11.20pm on October 28, recording a reading of 0.071. Muyen told the court he made a stupid mistake and would have to suffer the consequences. “At the end of the day I know the rules like everyone else and I did the wrong thing,” he said.

“I normally carry my breathalyzer in the car.” Magistrate Simon Young disqualified Muyen from driving for one month and fined him $400.
