Sixty plus turn out for Sixes Sta­ble­ford in Prossie

GOLF: High wind gusts and heavy show­ers didn’t stop 62 play­ers from turn­ing up to Satur­day’s Split Six­ers Sta­ble­ford.

Win­ning duo on the day were Chris Doblo and An­drew Col­borne with 72 points, clearly out in front of run­ners up Vicki and Lewis Tuck with 63.

Place get­ters were Nic Langevad and Kevin Camp­bell, Sherri Meade and Pauline Red­path and Rod Wecker and Lance Lloyd all with 62, Rob Stan­ley and Roger Van­den­berg and Matthew Gold­man and Steven Ste­wart, 61.

These were fol­lowed by David Gates and Pas­cal Ne­un­reuther, 60, Bruce Fielder and The­u­nis Ven­ter, 54, Kelvin Stephens and Peter Faust and El­speth and Gary Scot­ford, 53 and Larry Muller and Ja­son Bourke 52.

The in­di­vid­ual sta­ble­ford was won by Lewis Tuck, 41 points, fol­lowed by Chris Doblo and Matt Gold­man on 39.

The pin shots went to Lewis Tuck on Two, Gavin Ker­wand, five, Chris Doblo 13 and Kevin Camp­bell 16.

Weather did thin out the Thurs­day Men’s com­pe­ti­tion with only 28 turn­ing up for the sta­ble­ford.

Next week­end the event will be a sin­gle sta­ble­ford for men and ladies.
