Athletics, swimming heats up
Commonwealth Games, Seven, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at 7pm
IT’S time for Australia’s athletes to shine at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.
The much-hyped men’s 100m freestyle final headlines a big night of swimming on Sunday.
On Monday, it’s a night of sport not for the faint-hearted. Catch the men’s and women’s 100m athletics finals and the Campbell sisters (pictured) will be chasing 100m freestyle glory in the pool.
Then on Tuesday, it’s wheelchair athlete Kurt Fearnley’s last day on the track. Watch him compete in the 1500m T54 event, in which he won gold at the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games.
Tuesday is also the last night of swimming with the men’s 50m freestyle, men’s 1500m and the medley relays.
