BOWLS: On Tues­day, the lady bowlers were un­able to play due to the green be­ing very wet, so cham­pi­onship games are fall­ing be­hind.

Wed­nes­day af­ter­noon was a dif­fer­ent day and the mixed so­cial games were able to be played.

The win­ners for the day were John Feild­ing, Pam Collins and Bob Spees de­feat­ing John Feild­ing Neil, Moore and Tony White­horn 28 – 12.

Herb Se­comb, Steve Tat­tam and Nik Fern­bach de­feated Jim Cairns, Rick Galea and Paul Durns­ford 18 – 17. Merv Ste­wart and Henny Tat­tam de­feated Ron Track­son and Rick Brunell 18 – 17. John Sladek and John Beach de­feated Lu Ro­gan and Val Hadley 18 – 14.

A game of Ladies A Pairs was played on Wed­nes­day be­tween Shirley Wodson and Betty White­horn with Betty win­ning 27 – 9.

Open Pairs saw 10 teams com­pete for the prize money on of­fer.

Win­ners were Neil Moore and Paul Durns­ford with +10 and win­ners of the losers was Peter Bar­ret and Rodney Howard with +9.
