Tran­si­tion days pre­par­ing and build­ing con­fi­dence

SCHOOL’S ex­ten­sive tran­si­tion pro­gram al­lows pri­mary school stu­dents to en­ter se­condary school­ing with con­fi­dence.

Year 6 stu­dents from sur­round­ing schools at­tended their first tran­si­tion day ear­lier in the year. The event pro­vided a great in­tro­duc­tion to se­condary school for these stu­dents.

Our se­ries of tran­si­tion tran­si­tion pro­gram is as­sist­ing our stu­dents as they en­ter their se­nior phase of learn­ing (Year 10).

Ca­reer plan­ning, path­ways and per­sonal goal set­ting in the ju­nior school as­sists the suc­cess of our stu­dents at this cru­cial stage of a young per­son’s life.

A suc­cess­ful Year 9 subject se­lec­tion evening was held re­cently with stu­dents and their par­ents at­tend­ing an in­for­ma­tion evening and hav­ing the op­por­tu­nity to speak to ex­pe­ri­enced cur­ricu­lum lead­ers and teach­ers.

The school will soon hold its first ‘Suc­cess into Se­nior’ day.

Year 9 stu­dents and their par­ents will be in­volved in per­sonal in­ter­views to dis­cuss their sub­jects for Year 10 and pre­pare them for the move to se­nior school.
