Springfest is back in town
Live music, art therapy, meditation, yoga, dance, camping and more
WINTERMOON’S Springfest is coming back to the Whitsundays in September for a laid-back, intimate event celebrating spring with music, art and soul.
Not to be confused with Wintermoon’s May Festival, Springfest occurs sporadically and has a focus on relaxation, involvement and fine music.
The festival will be running a range of interactive workshops, including music, dance, yoga, meditation, self-sufficiency, and art therapy as well as art workshops and other activities for the children.
Renowned for its music, Springfest will be bringing a stellar line-up to entertain the masses.
Favourite iconic band Jigzag is returning on a reunion tour while the David Flower Band, Benji and the Saltwater Sound System, the Humbucking Pickups, the Jimmy Watts Band, Franke and the Amsterdam Trade will also make an appearance.
Swoon, Chontia and Parris, Nick and Liesel and Pelican Zen will be heading the 2018 duos with Lee Nelson, Peter Van Herk, Tim Woods and Adam Cousens as the talented soloists on the program.
Uke maestros Anu Grace and Laurie Bycroft will also be returning to share their lively style with the many ukelele players in the region.
Long-time supporter and volunteer of Wintermoon Pam Pole said the event was made unique by its location and warm vibes.
“What makes it different is the setting,” Ms Pole said.
“It’s the beautiful, rural, picturesque setting,.
“It’s away from crowds and there is a vibe of friendship that is unique to Wintermoon.
“Springfest is a rejuvenating spring experience and a perfect time to enjoy some fun and friendship.”
Earlybird tickets are available until September 9.
