Drugs in plastic container
A man who was caught with 1.3 grams of methamphetamines in his car has been fined $750.
Tyson Luke Collingwood, 22, of Proserpine, pleaded guilty in Proserpine Magistrates’ Court last week to possessing dangerous drugs and possessing a pipe for smoking those drugs.
Police prosecutor Senior Constable Hannah Beard told the court police found the drugs in a plastic container on the seat of his car after he pulled up at a Strathdickie house while police were searching it at 8.50am on August 29.
A pipe to smoke the drugs was also found in the car, the court was told.
Collingwood’s lawyer Rosemary Varley said the drugs were for her client’s personal use.
No conviction was recorded against Collingwood in court.
