Cannabis found

Whitsunday Times - - COURT & LAW -

A MAN caught with 85.6 grams of cannabis in his home has been fined $700.

Paul Luke Richardson, 57, pleaded guilty in Proserpine Magistrates Court on Monday to possessing dangerous drugs and possessing property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence. Prosecutor Robert Beamish told the court police found the cannabis in a brown paper bag in the lounge room of Richardson’s Cannonvale home when they searched it on July 4.

A bong made out of a plastic bottle, scissors used to chop the cannabis up, a set of scales he said was to weigh his cannabis “so he doesn’t get ripped off” and clipseal bags he said he separated his cannabis into “to make it last”, were also found, Mr Beamish said.
