ELEVEN MONTHS AFTER SHE PRESENTED TO A Paris hospital with injuries after an incident with her partner, Jean-david Blanc, Melissa George is still battling over custody of their two sons, aged 3 and 1, and is taking things “day by day.”

Speaking to Network Ten’s The Project on Aug. 10, the 41-year-old actress called her desire to “have my kids back here? Huge. They’re Australian, so, yeah.” Blanc had accused his ex of trying to take their kids out of France on Sept. 16, and a French court ruled she would need their father’s approval to do so.

Promoting her new film The Butterfly Tree in Melbourne, “My kids are not here so ... I’m abiding by the rules right now,” said George. “I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemies.”

“I always get off the plane and feel like, why can’t I live here all year round?” said George (in Paris on July 3). “It just feels right, it’s home.”
