WHO - - The List - —Julie Jordan

How fun has it been to play both Frank and “Black Jack” Randall?

It’s been a joy. Weaving bits of one into the other and playing them off each other has been great fun.

What was the biggest challenge switching between the two?

Maybe one of the days I was playing both parts was a bit much. But I’m proud of what we’ve done with Jack. There is horror in him—but also sadness. Hopefully that makes it less easy for people to dismiss him.

And for Frank?

There’s a lot to like. He’s loyal, smart and he has real endurance and a capacity to love. He’s inherently a good, decent human being.

How do you spend a day off from work?

Ideally it will involve a tennis lesson. And then maybe polish it off with some wine outside in a sunny corner with good company.

Passing the time: Menzies with Caitriona Balfe and bairn in Outlander.
