OVERQUALIFIED LOSER

It’s hard to believe that comedian Urzila Carlson only commenced her stand-up career aged 32. Now 44, Carlson was 2019’s hottest ticket at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and is a staple on Australian TV shows including Have You Been Paying Attention and Hughesy, We Have A Problem. Finally, she’s showcasing her considerable talents in her own comedy special. Overqualified Loser was recorded in Melbourne – pre-pandemic – and sees Carlson reclaiming the term ‘loser’. “This show has been one of my greatest loves, “says Carlson. “I’ve loved performing it and now through the magic of the interwebs, you can watch it in your home, dressed any way you like, with no judgement from this loser!”
